Raigad Fort is a hill fortress situated in the Sahyadri mountain range at Raigad district of Maharashtra. This fort is situated 2,700 ft above sea level. Shivthar Ghal is an area consisting of lush green views of trees, mountains, a big waterfall and a river. This place reminds the famous saint in Maharashtra – Saint Ramdas and his Dasbodh as this is the place where Samarth Ramdas wrote ‘Dasbodh’. Shivthar Ghal is comparatively a small and lesser known place but it must be visited particularly during the monsoons. It is situated 90 km. from Pune, towards Satara City.
